Hazairin: Journal of Legal Studies applies a full open access policy, meaning that all articles can be freely accessed, read, downloaded, and distributed by the public without charge. This is in line with our commitment to supporting the dissemination of knowledge in the field of law.

Focus and Scope

This journal publishes scientific articles, research findings, conceptual studies, and case studies in the field of law, including national law, customary law, Islamic law, and international law relevant to the development of law in Indonesia. The main topics include: Human Rights, Gender, Family Law, Civil Law, Criminal Law, Constitutional Law, Customary Law, Islamic Law, and Contemporary Legal Studies.

Journal History

Hazairin: Journal of Legal Studies was first published in 2025 with the primary goal of facilitating academics, practitioners, and law students in disseminating their research and legal thoughts. To this day, the journal continues to grow and is committed to becoming a reputable publication forum in the field of law.

Names, email addresses, and other personal data entered into the OJS system will only be used for the purposes of this journal’s scientific publication and will not be used for other purposes or shared with third parties without permission.

Archiving System

Hazairin: Journal of Legal Studies is integrated with the LOCKSS and CLOCKSS archiving systems to ensure the continuity and security of digital archives. This guarantees that published articles remain available and accessible permanently even if the journal ceases publication.

  • Reference at least 20, the last ten years of publication
  • Recommended using Mendeley/Zotero/EndNote application in writing reference (Download Mendeley here).
  • Plagiarism Check results in a maximum of 25%. Then, (1) File Plagiarism Check (PDF) and (2) Registration Form (PDF) is uploaded in Step 4 as an attachment file at the time of submission.
  • The Letter of Acceptance (LoA) is provided after going through the review and revision process.
  • To speed up the publication process, send a screenshot after submission or a paper ID to the Editor's contacts.
